Our Material Processing Division arises from the growth in capability of our other Divisions and the demand from existing customers to perform ancillary services which, although related to friction material fabrication technologies, are services applied to a much wider range of materials and products.

For example our water jet cutting capabilities enable us to cut virtually any material in thickness of up to 2 in. utilizing CAD/CAM. Parts which were inconceivable to manufacture a few years ago are being routinely cut economically on a water jet. We have experience cutting complex shapes in glass, sheet rubber, graphite composites, laminates, granite, plastics and of course, friction materials and ferrous and nonferrous metals.

We also routinely prepare customers metal parts by heat cleaning, abrasive blasting and if desired rust proofing. We remove rubber from rebuildable components, precision coat adhesives, bore and turn up to 60 in. dia. plates as well as perform a variety of other more common material processing services such as surface grinding, milling, drilling and welding.
